This is your home page in Carna. When you open the Dashboard, a welcome card greets you by name.
On this page, the two most important areas for you are:
Class Materials – resources shared by your teacher
Updates – the latest announcements and messages from your class
Quick Navigation from the Top Menu
You can move to any major feature using the header menu to the other pages such as:
Dashboard – brings you back to this home page.
Learn – shows your active and completed courses.
Practice – opens AI Practice Mode to chat or speak with Carna.
Library – where you can find and read books and short texts.
Class Materials
The Class Materials section shows resources and content shared by your teacher.
Each item usually has:
A title (for example, Traveller B1 Student Smartboard)
A short description or instruction
A link button or “View details” option you can click to open it
Use Class Materials whenever your teacher asks you to open a book, a smartboard link, or extra practice.
How to open a material:
Go to the Dashboard.
Scroll to the Class Materials section.
Look at the list of items (for example, Traveller B1 Student Smartboard).
Click the LINK button or View details on the right side of the card.
The material will open in a new tab or inside Carna, depending on what it is.
How to Check Class Updates (Announcements)
The Updates section on your Dashboard shows the latest class announcements from your teacher. Here you can see:
Welcome messages and important class information
Homework reminders and test dates
Any changes or news about your lessons
How to read an announcement:
Go to the Dashboard.
Scroll down to the Updates section.
Look at the announcement cards (for example, Welcome to Carna 👋).
Click on the announcement card to read the full message (if it expands or opens).
Check the date and any instructions your teacher gives.
Make it a habit to check Updates every time you log in, so you don’t miss any important information for your class.
