Target Audience:
Students and organization users who have an invitation code from their school or business
Prerequisites:
You must have already created a Carna account (see "How to Create Your Account" article)
You must have a 7-digit organization invitation code from your teacher or administrator
You must be logged in to your Carna account
Getting Started
You can follow the steps from the video below, or just follow along with the step-by-step guide with screenshots.
Joining Your School and Class
After creating your account, follow these steps to join your class using the invitation code provided by your teacher or administrator.
Step 1: Select Your User Type
On the welcome screen that appears after signing up, choose the second option titled "Have an Organization Code"
Click the orange "Join Class" button
Step 2: Select School or Join with Invite Code
Once you click the Join Class button, you will see the Select School or Join with Invite Code page.
If you have already entered your code before:
Your code is saved in your account forever
You will be able to select your school and then the class to access all materials
If it is your first time:
Simply write your 7-digit code
Click the "Join School" button to join
Important: If you write your code incorrectly or use a code that has been used before, you might get an invalid code error. Simply try again. If the issue persists, contact our support and we will help you out.
Step 3: Enter Your School
Once you write the code, your school name will appear with a "Select School" button next to it. Click that button to enter your school.
Step 4: Request to Join Your Class
Once you entered your organization, you will see all the classes. From here you can send a join request to your class.
Select ONLY your class or classes
The system or your teacher will approve your class joining request shortly
After the request is approved, you can join the class
Tip: If you sent a wrong class join request, you can always cancel your request by clicking the red "Cancel Request" button.
Note: You can refresh your page or click the "Refresh" button to see if your request is approved. You can contact our support if your request is not approved in a couple of hours.
✅ All Set!
Note: This was a one-time sign up process. You will be able to open your classroom with 1 click from now on. If you don't exit from your class, the app will open directly inside your class materials as a default.
🔧 Troubleshooting
My invitation code isn't working?
Make sure the code is exactly 7 digits long
Confirm you received the correct code from your teacher or administrator
If you get an "invalid code" error, try again
If the issue persists, contact our support team
I don't see my school?
Make sure you entered your 7-digit invitation code
After the code is accepted, your school name should appear with a "Select School" button
I sent a join request to the wrong class?
You can cancel your request by clicking the red "Cancel Request" button
Then you can send a new request to the correct class
When will my join request be approved?
Approval time depends on your teacher or administrator
Try refreshing your page or clicking the "Refresh" button
